MANAGER PROJECTS /Implementation Dept.

POSITIONS - ( 1):
The Manager Projects will be the primary contact for the project delivery in project implementation division.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overseeing smooth operations of Implementation project division;
Ensure all projects are delivered on time within the stipulated scope and budget.;
Lead the initiation and planning of a project and ensure technical feasibility
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Develop a detailed plan to monitor and track the progress of the project
Coordinate with internal and external customers for the flawless execution of projects
Manage relationships between clients and stakeholders
Measure project performance using appropriate project management tools
Perform risk management analysis to reduce project risks
Create and maintain a comprehensive project documentation
Oversee all sales and Negotiations to ensure an attractive product portfolio, strategic sales initiatives with clients
Understanding and continuously developing the value proposition for the various stakeholders.
Coordinate, manage and track team members and activities to ensure delivery of goals effectively and efficiently
Evaluate and optimize operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness in the department
Lead projects through a complete lifecycle,
Control team performance,
Ensure that all projects are accepted and closed by the customer,
Ensure practices and principles of Quality management system are followed as documented in the QMS
Any other related duty as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bsc in Telecommunication, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related field
8 years’ experience as Project Manager in telecommunication industry
Master’s degree is an added advantage
Strong experience in the Network roll-out, network upgrades and Telecommunication infrastructure
Knowledge and Experience in various Multi-Vendor Equipment and Transmission systems including NOKIA, Huawei, Ericsson, Aviat among others.
Knowledge of Network Infrastructure, including 2G, 3G and 4G networks
Expertise in RAN/Core mobile networks, Building fiber
Telecommunications protocols, such as SS7, GSM, GPRS, UMTS, UTRAN, VoIP, SIP, etc
Must be a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
OTHER SKILLS :
Ability to read and Interpret Construction and Telecom Installation drawings
A solid understanding of business cases and risk management processes
Project monitoring and evaluation
Strong leadership and engagement skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervision of Civil works to ensure quality of work
Ensuring projects run smoothly and structures are completed within budget and on time
Undertake preparation of project reports/ Bills of Quantities.
Preparation and updating work schedules and Work Method statement for the execution, control and management of the project.
Enforce compliance to HSE rules for safe working environment and personal safety
Attending MSV’s Preparation of planning (Design/Optimization) Drawings for proposed projects to be used by contractors.
Undertaking technical and feasibility studies including site investigations and site Audit surveys
Developing detailed designs using a range of computer software
Liaising with clients and a variety of professionals including subcontractors
Compiling job specs and supervising tendering procedures
Resolving design and development problems
Managing budgets and project resources
Scheduling material and equipment purchases and deliveries
Making sure the project complies with legal requirements, especially health and safety
Assessing the sustainability and environmental impact of projects
Any other duty as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building and construction etc
5 years’ experience in telecommunication and Construction industry
Project Management Training is an added advantage
OTHER SKILLS/TRAINING:
Ability to read and Interpret Construction and Telecom Installation drawings
Project Planning-MS-Project.
Computer Aided design-CAD
Labour-Based Road rehabilitation principles.
Site-Management and administration.
Contract procurement procedures.
