The generators are maintained by highly skilled personnel with the service and routine schedules done as per the manufacturer’s recommendations. The intention must be to effectively maintain a generator ensuring the maximum possible efficiency from the unit during its full operational life. The generator should be kept clean at all times; this includes both the interior and exterior of the Generator Housing. All the control system safety devices should be operating correctly and all electrical connection and terminations checked to be tight. To ensure that the quality of service is achieved, there is a maintenance checklist and service checklist that is used every time the site is visited. Before the visit is over, all the power alarms are tested with NMC and left to be working. They are: AC Mains Failure, Generator running, Generator Mains Failure, Low fuel and High fuel. The following is a normal maintenance specifically for generators. It covers the basic requirements for team on Planned Maintenance and Emergency Maintenance visits.
In case of a generator breakdown, mobile and portable generators will be deployed very fast using our 4WD vehicle and trucks, depending on the location of the engine. These mobile engines running details will be tracked to ensure that they are also maintained as per the manufacturer’s recommendation. Generator overhauls will be done from our workshops with highly qualified technicians as per the manufacturer’s recommendation.
